Portrait Emulation
The photographer that inspired me is Ben Baker. He works with people are very accomplished, and because of that many of his photographs are published in magazines all over the world. With the usual white, grey, or black background he creates a very interesting visual with alot of negative space. He focus's so vividly on the vocal point in his photos. I admire the way Ben Baker incooperates himself and the subject into all his photos. Light is always shining on the vocal point, (the subjects face). There is always a divine simplicity in his photographs. Most photo's moods are laid-back and/or humerous. In the photo, I chose to duplicate it incooperates all of the above. Richard Branson is not moving. There isn't really a depth of feild but you can tell the subject is in front of a light blue background. The contrast of lines of fur on the hood make an amazing texture in this photo. The photo also follows the Rule Of Thirds. I like the photo taken vertically. That way none of the hood is cut off, and it wasn't taken further away to fit the whole hood.
